Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Tip #2

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

When planning your SEO campaign do NOT assume that you know the phrases that your customers will use. Use Google’s Keyword tool to try out different phrases. Try versions of your search terms with plurals and without. Think about phrases that might be used within your industry but also terms that may be used by those who are not ‘in the club’.

Don’t assume anything. Ascertain FACTS and base your SEO campaign on the facts about what searches your customers and even more importantly YOUR COMPETITORS customers are searching for.
